Twist Floor Lamp by Romain Sillon
In the French designer’s debut for HAY, Twist is a sculptural uplight featuring a height-adjustable mechanism activated by drawing out the central shaft. A single, tactile gesture alters the lamp’s posture – raising or lowering the light source and subtly shifting both its reach and the atmosphere of the space around it.
About Romain Sillon
Romain Sillon is a French designer, born in 1994 in Lyon. After studying product design, he developed a strong interest in woodworking and earned a degree in cabinetmaking. He went on to gain experience with the design trio BIG-GAME in Lausanne, Belgian designer Sylvain Willenz, and the Paris-based studio Perron & Frères before establishing his own practice in Paris. His education and professional experience have shaped a precise, methodical approach, with a particular emphasis on hands-on, workshop-based work. Exploring mechanics and movement, he brings a subtle, unexpected poetry to his designs. For HAY, he designed the Twist Floor Lamp.
