A Modernist Villa Reimagined, Madrid (spain)
In Madrid, a 1934 modernist villa carries its history lightly. Reimagined by Plutarco, the residence has been opened up to light and contemporary living – its bones preserved, its spirit renewed. HAY's contemporary designs thread through the project as a quiet constant: grounding the new without overshadowing the original.

Outside, the Palissade, Crate, and Weekday collections extend the home into the courtyard, defining zones for gathering and relaxation with the same welcoming feel HAY's designs can bring to any space. Among them, the Crate collection – itself dating to 1934 – brings an unexpected resonance, sharing its origins with the villa.
Indoors, the interplay of eras becomes a design decision in itself. The Nelson Pendant Lamp, a mid-century icon first realised in the 1940s, sits alongside the Ono Flush Mount and a curated edit of HAY accessories.
