The Sowden Toaster shares the same distinctive family of colour combinations as the rest of George Sowden’s collection, making a statement in any kitchen. Designed to be durable in plastic and stainless steel, the Toaster is easy to clean and features a browning dial for adjusting the toasting level to perfection.

Crafted in durable plastic and stainless steel, the Sowden Kettle features a generously proportioned handle and easy-to-pour spoud, and contains 1.5 litres of water.

About George Sowden

George Sowden studied architecture at Gloucestershire College of Art. In the 1970s, Sowden moved to Milan to work with names such as Ettore Sottsass and Olivetti, and in the 1980s he became one of the founders of the design collective, Memphis Group.

He has won numerous design prizes including the prestigious Compasso d'Oro Award. Today he continues to live and work in Milan. For HAY, Sowden has designed Sowden Toaster, Sowden Kettle, Coffee and Tea Pot, Sowden Bottle, Tin by Sowden and Salt & Pepper.
